Thanks to some of my gorgeous Sisters and dear friends from Sister Snog who helped me celebrate. Thanks to Natalie, the fabulously talented Ms Ballooniverse for my balloon birthday cake hat which I had to wear all day!
We started off at the Experimental Food Society Exhibition in Truman Brewery and saw so many amazing creations from sugar. Generally something I think needs to be banned from so many foods. 12.5g is one tablespoon! Rock on Jamie’s Revolution.
Anyway, I thought I’d show you a couple of the creations. There were some brilliant life like flowers, but the pic wasn’t that great, sorry, and even a Dodo whose feathers seemed so real. Amazing.
Here’s an eagle made totally out of sugar, apparently the same as if you’re making roses on a wedding cake. That’s what I call having patience!
And The Cake Conjuror An artist and amateur magician. She bakes the cakes, we make them disappear! Magic!
Of course, knowing me as you do, I like a chat, so I spent some time getting to know the business owners in case I had some good contacts for them.
