100th Newsletter

Wow, I have just sent my 100th Make Your Mondays Matter Newsletter today 🙂

Designed to give you a boost every Monday with bite size strategies for success included in every one. It’s been quite an experience writing these newsletters every single week for 100 weeks and here’s some of the things I’ve learned along the way.  Hopefully it will save you time by applying a few of them now!

1.  Do you need targets?

By setting myself the target of sending these newsletters to you by 10am every Monday morning gave me the deadline I needed to really help me do it.   I knew I had to carve out time in my diary to write them, either during the week or at weekends. Sunday nights have been fun in my house a few times! But having the goal to deliver a motivating email with good value content by 10am each Monday made it happen.

Otherwise I might have kept editing or procrastinating and we all know that gets you no where fast.

So, I encourage you to set your own regular deadlines too for sending and publishing your blog or newsletter. It will make a huge difference to you I’m sure. Decide when you want to send us your valuable content.  Remember, we want to hear it as it will help us!

2.  Is it good enough? That ol’ question!

I’ve discovered, especially at the beginning, that I get fearful of the newsletter not being good enough and used to spend ages editing it  – and I mean hours and hours  – and used to hover over the Send button with my heart beating faster and faster before finally pressing the Send button so you can read it!!

Of course I still do take my time and care for each one to make sure they are upbeat, helpful and valuable. And after two years of writing, I’ve got a little bit quicker! And you will too.  Like most things, you get better the more you do it.

3.  Good Subject headers = more engagement

It takes time to increase your open rates and click through rates but by practising with different subject headers and learning what works well so people click through, you can make headway and improvements and gain more engagement with your subscribers.

4.  Speaking at Events and other opportunities

As other people got to hear about my newsletters and found the content useful, I’ve received great opportunities to speak at numerous Networking and Entrepreneurial events in London which has enabled me to help many more business owners like you, to make more Sales, the Anti-selling way.

Last Wednesday I spoke to approx. 100 business owners at the Small Business Owners Summers Day event. It was a great day seeing so many people taking time to work on their business to take their business to the next level.  It was a great day out.  Hopefully we’ll be doing another one soon.  If you have an event you’d like me or the team to speak at, please do get in touch.

5.  100+

I’m now having talks with a publisher about writing a book which is very exciting.  But it’s a long process so we’ll see what happens.  I’ll continue to write to you every Monday as promised, to help give you a boost and to help grow your business by giving you bite sized business boosting strategies each week.  So stay tuned for more!
