Christmas is a wonderful time of year and very easy to get caught up in the excitement of the season.  It is also an extremely busy time of year, and no matter how well prepared you are, something will creep up on you unexpectedly. So let’s prepare ahead and minimise the unexpected.

Christmas time can be stressful but one consolation is the fact that everyone feels the same.

So, act now before the holidays are upon you

If you leave invoicing or contacting clients until the last minute, you may find that you leave it too late. Some people head home for the holidays, other people like to get away from home.  So be proactive.

Your 3 Action Points to improve your Christmas Cashflow

1. Send a polite and courteous reminder today of any outstanding invoices to help your cash flow.

2.  Set a reminder for 48 hours or 7 days later (which ever your company standards are) to check payments have been received.

3. Ensure you keep an eye on any outstanding payments and be prompt with issuing new invoices now to stay on track for the end of the year.

Christmas is an enjoyable time of year but make sure you don’t lose focus for your business. Taking action ahead of the festive season will ensure that your cash till rings before the sleigh bells start to ring!!
