Back to work doesn’t have to mean back to the same ol’ stuff already! Are you feeling like you’ve never been away from your desk? If you are, help is here! I want to share a quick exercise that we call Anchoring in NLP.
Take a moment and remember the good times you’ve just had this weekend. Allow yourself to get excited again! With these vivid pictures in your mind, happy sounds and fab feelings in your body again now squeeze your thumb and forefinger together to ‘Anchor’ these wonderful feelings.
Now you will be able to recall those feelings when you want to. Just squeeze your thumb and finger together and ‘fire off’ your Anchor and now imagine yourself doing your work and feel how you are enjoying it more! Now you have a #feelgood anchor for you to use when ever you want to enjoy yourself more.
You may be hankering for the good times so Anchor your good times! Do this again tomorrow when you arrive at your desk. And notice the difference it makes 🙂
