Boost your Motivation this way for a change

Blue Monday is coming up, which got me thinking! Blue Monday is typically known as the day the credit card bills come through the door after Xmas.  With that and the dark mornings, it’s not surprising some people feel low or lethargic at this time of year.  I can’t wait ’til summer, only 68 days ’til the clocks change again!

Let’s change the news stories of feeling miserable because of the weather, lack of sunlight or credit card bills! Let’s do something now to keep ourselves more positive until we get to Spring.  Maybe you already are? If so, well done 😉 If not, I wonder,

What ideas do you have to keep yourself motivated during these grey days?

Being motivated is essential if you want to really live life to the full and reach your business and personal goals for the year. Otherwise we tend to get stagnant, frustrated and bored. Well I do, do you?   So, I’ve decided I want to mix up my week a bit more.

The thought of ‘work, gym, sleep, repeat’,  already sounds like it’s missing something to me!  So, this year I want to find more creative things to do in the evenings. Yes I’ll fit in some exercise, but I want to exercise my mind too and flex my creative muscles!

So I’ve just picked up my guitar again, after two years! Yes my finger tips are now a little sore,  but they’ll soon have tiny pads on them the more I play!  And wow, I can already feel a bit more excited as I’m finishing work for the day as I can play the guitar for an hour or so. One of my step daughters is coming over for a jam this weekend, she’s got such a great singing voice, so I’ve been practising playing Jessie J, Adele and Christina Aguilera.

Are you doing something creative in your spare time?  What would you love to do?

Paint, dance, draw, cook, play an instrument too?

Have fun exploring and let your creativity flow.  It’s bound to have a good knock-on effect in your business and help you feel motivated.  I’m looking forward to seeing what develops.

To your success and happiness, get creative.
