Good Morning 🙂

Running your business takes so much time doesn’t it? As business owners you commit to your clients, to your social media followers, you commit to your networks and your teams.  How about you?

Are you making time for you and committing to yourself enough?

time for yourself On Wednesday, I spent the day at Raymond Blanc’s Cookery School at Le Manoir in Oxford with Chef, Mark Peregrine and other keen cooks.

I had a brilliant day in chef’s whites!

We learned how to cook healthy summer meals from their Blanc Vite menu. Including how to poach the perfect egg, trickier than it sounds!  How to make tasty dressings, lemon sole and cook a cherry frangipane tart.

One of the top tips I learned is that the chef cooks fish, steaks and vegetables with butter, not oil.

He said we generally heat oil to high temperatures which destroys any goodness it has originally.

He advised us to instead use butter with a fat content of 80%.  Other butters are usually around 52% and have water and other fillers in it, which is why when you add that kind of butter to a pan, it spits sometimes and burns us very quickly.

This reminded me of Perito’s Law, when 80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your customers.

What about your time?

If you spend 80% of your time on your business, are you really spending 20% of your time on yourself?

I haven’t been!  My commitment to my personal time recently has dropped to way below 20%, so I had to do something about it, to restore some balance.

So, as you can see, I decided to treat myself to something that I have been wanting to do for a good couple of years now, and booked myself onto a 1 Day Course at the Cookery School.  I came back so refreshed, loved the day, highly recommend it.

How would you feel afterwards if you treated yourself?

What have you been wanting to do for ages?

I encourage you today to please, do it!

Book it today and spend some of your valuable time on you.  Restore the balance.

To your success and happiness, treat yourself
