We had a brilliant time at Contacts & Cocktails on Thursday with John Steel from Tour de Force London treating us to a very interesting and entertaining tour of Piccadilly and Mayfair. Luckily the rain had stopped!
John showed us the hidden gems of London that are right under our noses, but we tend to walk past them so quickly, we sometimes don’t notice they are there.
What hidden gems do you have in your business that people maybe aren’t aware of, yet?
Is it time to raise your profile now and shout about your main achievements?
Helping you stand out from the crowd.
When you’re networking, are you telling people about the brilliant work you’ve done recently? Don’t be shy!
People love hearing about client success stories and it’s a way of selling, but the anti-selling way. When they hear how you’ve helped others, they will think of other contacts for you, or they put themselves in the story and want to work with you too.
To shout about your talents more, is it time you entered your business for an Award? It gets you great publicity, you’ll meet hundreds of new people at the Awards Ceremony and you might even win!
What would that do for raising your business profile? How many more people will then find out about you?
So, a couple of Action Points for you today:
1. Remember your biggest achievements of late, and tell more people about them. Paint a picture by describing the situation your client was in when they first spoke with you, how you helped them and importantly, the results they gained.
You can then build up a case study and put it on your website.
2. Do some research and find out what awards you can enter, and go for it!
Raise your profile, show us more of your hidden gems.
Tweet about it too, so we can share your stories and raise your profile.
To your success and happiness,
Jo James
